We are Catherine and Vincent, a couple from the North and parents of four children.

Ten years ago, we wanted to introduce our children to the joys of the mountain in winter: we wanted to introduce them to skiing, but in front of our screen we already imagined having snowball fights, sledding descents , share pancakes at the foot of the slopes, give them a taste of raclette ...

We wanted for that a family place, not too big where they could have fun without risk.  We were looking for a typical Savoyard village with charm and this is what we found in Montchavin. We fell in love with the landscapes, the view of Mont Blanc, the chalets with traditional architecture, its lively pedestrian street where holidaymakers and villagers meet.

The first year, we had rented an apartment in a residence on the heights of the village but with our little ones we preferred accommodation closer to the center and the entertainment. This is how we arrived at L'Edelweiss in the Tétras Lyre residence and went back there every year.  

The children bonded with their ESF instructors, who were kind, patient and very good teachers.

We wanted to try the experience in summer and even if the landscapes are different, they are just as spectacular. Entertainment and activities are not lacking, which is important with children but especially with teenagers ... because our children have grown up and today the snowmen have given way to mountain bikes, the ice rink, the swimming pool. .

Last year, we were lucky enough to be able to own the Edelweiss and make it our little piece of paradise.

After a few weeks of renovation, it is ready to welcome new holiday memories, maybe yours ...
